The island of Mallorca, Spain – not only famous for their large-scale salt-mining companies and steep population growth, but also known to be, like Ibiza, a holiday vacation spot – but not in the last weekend of September – unless you want to get hit with grapes. Mallorca holds the largest grape throwing festival in the world – a fiesta they call it – step on some grapes to make some wine, then drink some foot-wine and throw some grapes. They do this because being the largest producer of grapes in the world, Spain wants to get rid of all the unusable grapes that have been left throughout the year. It sounds intriguing, if this is your thing, than by all means go to Mallorca! But honestly who wants to be hit in the eye with an expired grape.
